Fruit Juices

Apple Juice

Apple Juice as it is known is made from apples. For your cocktails use any apple juice available in the market.

Cherry Juice

Cherry Juice is obtained from cherries concentrated. Available at any market.

Coconut Water (Juice)

Coconut Water is a very popular refreshing drinks in all tropical weather countries. It is obtained by opening a coconut wether it is tender (green) or mature (brown). Green coconut water is recommended to prepare drinks and cocktails. It can be found in the market.

Cranberry Juice

It is the juice of cranberries, diluted and sweetened. It is available at any market.

Grape Juice

Grape Juice is obtained from crushed grapes. It is available at any market.

Grapefruit Juice

Grapefruit Juice is the juice extracted from grapefruits with lots of vitamins. It can be pink or ruby and light yellow. In order to make grapefruit juice you need to get fresh grapefruits, bring them to room temperature and roll them on the counter pressing down with your hand. Easy to squeeze now you can use the grapefruit squeezer and extract your juice.

Guava Juice

Guava is a small apple sized, oval or round, yellow or green exotic fruit. It has a refreshing tart taste that surrounds a soft pulp containing numerous seeds. Its juice can be home-made by blending the boiled fruit with peel and water and then strained to obtain a thick nectar otherwise you can always find it at the market.

Lemon Juice

Lemon Juice is also an important juice in a bar. In order to make lemon juice you need to get fresh lemons, bring them to room temperature and roll them on the counter pressing down with your hand. Easy to squeeze now you can use the lemon squeezer and get your juice. A medium sized lemon has about 1 1/2 oz of juice.

Use always fresh juice to make cocktails!!!

Lime Juice

Lime juice is one of the most important juices in a bar. If it's not possible to use fresh squeezed lime juice, only the best-quality bottled juice should be used.

How to make Lime Juice for cocktails:

To get the most juice from a lime bring it to room temperature, then roll it on the counter with the flat of your hand while pressing down on the fruit to soften them up before squeezing. Cut in two and use the lemon squeezer to extract the most juice possible. A medium sized lime has about 1 oz. of juice.

Important: Use only fresh lime juice!!! That will give your drink the original and proper flavor it must have.

Orange Juice

Orange juice is one of the most important ingredients to have when making cocktails.

To get the most juice from an orange bring it to room temperature, then roll it on the counter with the flat of your hand while pressing down on the fruit to soften them up before squeezing. Another method is to put the whole orange in the microwave on high power for 30 seconds. Let stand for 2 minutes before cutting and squeezing.

Use an orange squeezer to extract the juice, once squeezed the vitamin C dissipates and the taste deteriorates, therefore orange juice should always be fresh squeezed.

Passion Fruit Juice

Passion fruit juice is a good source vitamin C and vitamin A. It is rich-flavored and strongly, but pleasantly aromatic. It is available at any market.

Pineapple Juice

Pineapple Juice is the juice extracted from pineapples. It is sold unsweetened and sweetened in cans or bottles and as frozen concentrate, and used in many drink recipes, from ordinary mixed drinks to high proof punches. The best way to use it is by making fresh juice. If you are lucky and can find pineapples this is a recipe you can try:

Pure Pineapple Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 Whole Pineapple
  • 1 Pinch of Sugar (optional) 

Instructions:

Peel pineapple completely. Chop it in pieces and blend it in a blender or processor. A pinch of sugar is optional only. Use inmediately in your cocktail or any recipe.

Strawberry Juice

Strawberry Juice is a fruit juice made from strawberries. It is also a concentrate that is often added to cocktails. Available at any groceries shop.


Tomato Juice

Tomato juice is a juice made from squeezed tomatoes. It is available at any market pure, or with salt added. This is a popular ingredient for cocktails such as Bloody Mary.
