Campari
Campari is an aperitif liqueur with a unique recipe that has never changed since the beginning of the drink and still remains closely guarded secret. Campari has a long history that dates back to 1860, it was invented by Gaspare Campari in Novara, Italy. It is an infusion of several bitter herbs, aromatic plants, and fruits including chinotto -a small Italian citrus fruit that looks like an orange, in alcohol and water.
Campari is characterized for its bitterness and deep red hue color, it is often mixed with soda water and in cocktails such as the oldest famous "Americano".
