Unicum

Unicum is a traditional bitter liqueur produced by the Zwach family for over 150 years in Hungary. It is made from a blend of 40 different aromatic herbs, based on an old secret recipe, known only to the heirs of the Zwach family.

Unicum is bottled in characteristic bomb-shaped bottles with a golden cross on the label. Its name was given by the Emperor Joseph II, who, after having taste the drink for the first time, called it "Unicum" or "Unique".

It has a distinctive strong, bitter-sweet flavor and herbs aroma with a spicy touch. Unicum is improved by the 6 months long aging in oak casks. It is served as an apéritif liqueur or mixed in cocktails.
