Description

Bénédictine is an herbal liqueur made with a secret recipe that contains 27 plants and spices and brandy as base-spirit.

History

Bénédictine was invented by Alexandre Legrand, in the 19th century. It was developed in the trying to recreate medicinal beverages that monks had developed at the Benedictine Abbey of Fécamp in Normandy. 

Uses

Bénédictine is a liqueur to be drunk straight or in a cocktail.
