Tanzania on the east coast of Africa is known for its tropical beaches, great lakes and the majestic Kilimanjaro. Tanzanian people are friendly and hospitable. Almost each of the 126 tribes that live there have their own cuisine and drink types.
In Tanzania alcohol is not prohibited, drinks are made of different types of grains, bananas, sugar cane, honey, bamboo juice or palm juice. Most of their traditional drinks are processed, left over a night or several nights to ferment into light or potent alcoholic drinks.
Coffee and tea have both high quality, tea is often spiced with ginger, lemon grass, cardamon and vanilla. The making and serving of banana beverages are an interesting ritual.
